Eco design per la nautica

The project

The objectives

  • Employment of eco-design (Directive 2005\32\EC) and its latest European updates, carbon footprint,  the environmental management [both with eco-management and life cycle assessment (LCA)] throughout the whole manufacturing process regarding the Marche Region shipbuilding industry. This will lead to an agreement protocol amongst all the PMI involved in the shipbuilding industry so that they will be able to renew their production systems, paying attention to the environmental conservation and to the innovations aimed at making the watercrafts accessible to aged and disabled people;
  • Improvement of the local know how of the Marche PMI nautical industry regarding manufacturing processes of material resources, systems and equipments able to lower industrial waste and recycle it, to save energy and to reduce emissions throughout the whole production cycle of the shipbuilding industry;
  • Creation of a macro activity of prototypes invention aimed at the development of an ecological shipbuilding industry together with the creation of ships accessible to aged and disabled people. The innovations of this kind of shipbuilding industry includes: (i) pollution\emissions reduction and  energy saving; (ii) reuse of composite fibreglass materials  coming from shipyard extra resources; (iii) introduction of innovative elements useful to make ships accessible to aged and disabled people.
